Vision

To provide a quality primary school-aged childcare service for Beaumaris North Primary School Outside School Hours Care which is community-based, flexible and meets each child's need for care in a creative, stimulating, safe and secure environment before and after school.

Overview

The Beaumaris North Primary School Outside School Hours Care Program operates on a non-profit basis and was established in 1990. The Beaumaris North Primary School Council is the sponsor of the service however the management of the service lies with the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Committee of Management. A Coordinator is employed to operate the two programs on a day to day basis.

The OSHC Service provides the following components of care:

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE

The Before School Care Service operates from 7.30am to 8.45 a.m. each weekday during school terms for 42 weeks of the year. A healthy, varied breakfast is provided each morning as part of the service.

During Terms 1 & 2 Prep students remain in care until 9.00 a.m. and are then taken to their class line up area by an OSHC staff member.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE

The After School Care Service operates from 3.30 pm to 6p.m each weekday during school terms for 42 weeks of the year. A nutritious snack is provided after school as part of the service. The service also provides an extensive program of creative and recreational experiences for the children.

During Terms 1& 2 Prep students are collected from their classroom by an OSHC staff member.

COSTS

Before School Care - $ 7.00 per session

After School Care - $10.00 per session

Enrolment - $ 10.00 per family - renewable on an annual basis.

The Commonwealth Government provide fee assistance to all families, regardless of income, through a Tax Rebate Scheme which is currently 50% of out-of-pocket expenses - paid quarterly.
Child Care Benefit in the form of a fee reduction percentage is also provided by the Government to some families depending on combined income. For more information - contact the Family Assistance Office on 136 150 or visit any CentreLink office.
